We’re really excited to be playing at Chiswick Oxjam festival on Saturday 19th October, in support of the charity Oxfam! The whole day will be completely brilliant, so we’d really encourage you to come and check out as many of the HUNDRED bands that are playing as possible! We’re playing the folk stage at the Tabard on Bath Street by Turnham Green tube station at about 10pm, so you can probably squeeze in a good 70 or so bands first if you really try…

Ringlefinch Listens: Volume 2

In advance of our gig at the Harrison on 14th August, and the Good Ship on 23rd August, here’s a present! A new spotify playlist for you, inspired by an August that is frankly behaving a bit like April.

Tsk tsk, Great British Summer, tsk tsk.

It’s another eclectic mix, though perhaps not quite as flamboyantly random as Volume 1. A mix of instrumentals, moody electronica, and upbeat-yet-poignant loveliness from First Aid Kit, Ani Difranco and Jonathan Coulton, and overall with slightly more Yo-Yo Ma than average…

Ringlefinch Listens: Vol 2

01 – Prelude from Bach’s Cello Suite No.1 – Yo-Yo Ma

02 – If I Had A Heart – Fever Ray

03 – Attaboy – Goat Rodeo

04 – Diamonds On My Belly – Hafdis Huld

05 – Tarantella – Antonio Forcione

06 – Marrow – Ani Difranco

07 – In The House (In A Heartbeat) – John Murphy

08 – Wolf – First Aid Kit

09 – El Cargo – Amon Tobin

10 – Baby Got Back – Jonathan Coulton

11 – Pleasure Palaces – Errors

Camden to King’s Cross ( via Mornington Crescent)

Fantastic show at the Constitution in Camden last night – our first with our super-talented new violist and singer Gillian! A real intimate venue, with a great sound, and you absolutely packed it out! There's no feeling like playing to a brilliant crowd – it's why we do what we do, and the audience at last night's show were humblingly awesome. Thank you!

Our next show is at The Harrison in King's Cross (http://harrisonbar.co.uk) for Folkroom Records (http://folkroom.co.uk/) on 14th August. We totally heart the guys at Folkroom – and indeed every band and artist they have on their roster – and are thrilled to be playing for them again at their new residency. The Harrison is pretty much the heart of the London folk scene, so it's a great move! In fact if you're free on 31st July why not come down to The Harrison for the Folkroom launch party, with the incomparable Sophie Jamieson (http://www.sophiejamieson.co.uk/)…
